Seung-Ni Karate Kids Take Over Traverse City!

Traverse City's best martial arts demo team is located at the Seung-Ni dojang. The team is a select few highly skilled martial artists from the different programs offered at the academy. Most members are black belt or high level belts that demonstrate incredible athleticism and focus. All members of the team go through tryouts and must demonstrate a handful of elite skills in order to become members of the Seung-Ni demo team.

Team Practice at Seung-Ni Martial Arts Academy

Seung-Ni demo team students all participate a minimum of twice per week, in addition all team members meet up weekly and work specifically on demo team moves and conditioning. During demo practice team members start with a warm up and perform basic body weight exercises such as squats, push ups, pull ups, ab exercises and full body stretches. After warm ups the class will begin doing

plyometrics with a focus on increasing vertical jumping for acrobatic kicking and flipping. The goal of team practice is to increase the students individual abilities and to create team chemistry.
